Gutter cleaning and solar panel cleaning is the whole trade — done on ropes, by people who are up there every day.

Gutter cleaning

Leaves, grit and the sludge in the bottom vacuumed out of the gutters and downpipes — and the whole lot leaves with us in the trailer.

Solar panel cleaning

Dust, salt and bird mess washed off the glass so the panels can see the sun again. Same visit as the gutters if you want it.

Roof & gutter inspections

A proper look over the roof, the valleys and the downpipes, with photos of anything that needs your attention before it turns into a repair.

Bushfire safety inspections

Before the season turns, we get the leaf litter off the roof and out of the gutters and let you know what's still a risk up there.

Out here it's dust off the gravel, salt off the ocean and whatever the birds add. It builds into a film across the glass that you can't spot from the ground. We wash the array down properly — brush on a long pole, roped on where the pitch calls for it.

Neville runs Roof Rats

He picks up his phone. That sounds like a low bar until you've rung three mobs about your gutters and heard back from none of them. Ring Neville and you'll get a person, then a written quote by email, usually pretty quick.

From there he turns up when he said he would, tells you what he's about to do before he does it, and sends through before and after photos so you can see the state your gutters were in and what they look like now. He cleans up after himself, and if the job warrants a follow-up visit, he comes back.

Rope access is the trade underneath all of it — Working at Heights certified, so the steep roofs and awkward corners around Margaret River, Dunsborough and the coast are just the normal day.
